I have done this before and so has my sister. I think this program for those who need it most. That being said, no one every asked me if I was needy. I really liked what was in the box, it was always useful stuff. I will say that it helped me expand my cooking skills because I would get things I wouldn't normally buy - like a bag of beans for soup. If you need it, I recommend it.

This deal is legit. My cousin feeds her family off this deal...
But having said that, I personally don't do it... I think it is a great deal etc but to me I'm taking food from someone who actually needs it. We all spend enough money on worthless crap toys on this board... Maybe stop and think before you pounce... This isn't like stealing something from Amazon at a ridiculously low price... This is food meant for people who can't afford it. Stepping down off my soapbox now. ;-) Higher taxes [noblesseoblige.org], Killing Babies [wordpress.com], Destroying our National Defense [macsmind.com] and Skyrocketing Electricity Costs [hotair.com]. This is not just for those in need, it's for everybody.
The more boxes they can sell the better, so you're not taking away from someone you are actually helping the cause by purchasing these. |

Surf and Turf for the needy.. That's funny.
If you are needy you better not be spending gov't money on lobster and steak. Please engage brain before using your fingers. If you don't understand read it again.

This program is actually for everyone. Before I moved to Ohio, I was doing the research to start this up at my church. The program actually benefits the church, for each box they sell, they get $1.00 for their church/organization. So the more the sell the more money they make for their cause. Please don't think of this program for the poor or needy, though it may have been first intended for this, now it is a money making opportunity for the supporting organization/church.
And your not taking away from anyone, as you have to preorder your box o' food. So when it comes pickup day everyone that wanted a box, will get a box. If you still feel guilty, then help out your organization, buy a box o' food and donate it to your local shelter. |

I agree with the ppl saying that this program is for everyone. A church also has to have so many boxes each month to be on the delivery route and not have to send their own truck to go pick up the food. The more boxes ordered the better off everyone is! Most churches will also have a pot set up so that you can leave items from your box that you may not want/use and anyone can then take that for free. Please support this program...it is a good one.
