Well, if you read my comments completely then what he meant is instead of taking market pre-workout like jack3d which contains lots of harmful ingredients which negates the purpose of taking pre-workout basically because it does more harm to your body in long run than any good.
He meant to say pre-workout is basically for giving you a kick and energy, which contains lots of caffeine and other things.
He suggested if you feel low in energy or mood instead of jack3d to be on safer side, just take green tea or coffee with a energy bar which would give you same kind of kick as pre-workout supplements.
Also if you are body become addicted to pre-workout supplement then it would be very difficult to get rid of that addiction.
The main purpose of these marketing gimmick is to make you addict of their products, you subconsciously can't workout without taking them.
By the way he told me that he was once gone through all these crap, that's the reason he warned me.
If you think he is just blabbering then either he don't a shit with 15 years of experience and Cooper certificate or you just know a shit about workout.

I was with you on the green tea and coffee, but then you went off the rails with 'snacks' and 'hidden codes' Nobody really needs this stuff, but their effectiveness is debatable and I've yet to see any real science saying that it's bad for you when used correctly.

Perhaps the other poster was a little bit mean calling you a "fatty", but the reason someone drinks protein shakes at the gym is because it has been scientifically tested and the results show that there is a substantial benefit to consuming protein right after a workout versus a couple of hours later.

Want to know what NCAA stands for - No Clue About Athletics. While I agree this stuff shouldn't be allowed in sports these morons have no f***ing clue. They ban all sorts of things for dumb reasons such as protein with too high of a protein to carb ratio since they consider it muscle building as oppose to recovery. Also anything with caffeine in it is not allowed either (probably to prevent wrestlers or any other athlete from doing any dangerous dosage) but they are kind of ridiculous in their policing of substances

You clearly don't have a very strong grasp on nutrition, or perhaps you are a troll. Supplements make is very convenient to get the nutrition you need the most at the best possible time. Food while it does have protein doesn't always contain complete protein which is why you pair certain things (such as peanut butter & grains or cereal and milk). There is also the issue of absorption times ie the most important thing is that you get it in you within 1 hr of your workout.. This however has nothing to do with protein. Jack3d is a pre-workout supplement which is supposed to give you energy and stuff like that. The best thing in here (that is not banned) is the caffeine IMO which is widely agreed upon as useful ergogenic aid. Do some research noob.

EDIT: Also not everyone is concerned with trying to pick up women. I workout to improve athletic performance as well as increase my size and how I look and feel about myself. I have a goal and I work towards it and feel accomplished when I look in the mirror and see results. You are such a close minded moron it's beyond ridiculous.

I got a second coupon through an old CC that is set to a different address and different Eversave account. Picked up BSN Hyper FX to try it out since DMAA is addicting and makes you crash hard.
