If you're willing to deal with some minimal hassle (finding a missing charger, whatever) the used items from CowBoom can be a really good deal.

All I see is condition 5 and a couple 6's. Does inventory update with more during the day? If not, this is a crappy sale with mostly junk condition units. 7's my bottom threshold for cowboom tablets.

EDIT: Looks like the condition 7 and up 32GB XOOMS are not on sale - $269 if you want one in decent shape. Pass.

If I hadn't taken the time to search for "cowboom", confirm that there were no other postings about the Xoom, check to see what prices were on eBay, and then actually include at least some minimal detail...I coulda been the OP.

It's almost a "why bother" thing. I actually DID look into it, ya know checked prices on eBay, did a quick Craig's List search, and so on, to see if the pricing was as decent as it seemed. Salma just spams everything regularly listed or emailed out, good or not. She's responsible for what, half the threads on the site?

As for the 5 rating, as long as the screen isn't scratched and the inside works, I personally couldn't care less. It's going to be in a case anyway, so some hidden scratches seem worth the savings.

Scratches on the screen would be a whole different thing though.

I know...it's tough to do due diligence and still beat Selma.

In my experience condition 5 is way worse than some fine scratches on the case. I wouldn't take anything under a 7 these days. Too much hassle if it turns out to be a hard 5 or hard 6. I've never been disappointed with a 7. The fact that Cowboom thinks a condition 7 is worth $70 more kind of backs this up.

Now I'm nervous... I ordered three tablets from Cowboom over the weekend...

I was very pleased with the laptop I got a couple of weeks ago. That was rated an 8. It still had the protective plastic around the bezel.

I got this same one from CowBoom about a month ago. There was one noticeable scratch on the back. That is all. Has been perfect since.

I wouldnt worry about it. I have purchased from them many times. The worst possible scenario is you return it. in my experience they have been much better than expected. I have ordered a few 5s lately that looked like new.

I've got a 32GB 4G Xoom that I'm trying to get rid of and replace with a Nexus 7. Where's the best place to go if you want to SELL your used Xoom?

I've got the Xoom WiFi version new in the box. Then got the Acer Iconia A500. Anyone here had both and cares to compare them? Not sure which one to keep. I paid the same price for both so price is not an issue.

It's a crapshoot. Some are over rated, some under rated. I just gave up on playing the odds with anything under a 7, because that's the point where I have never been disappointed. Yeah, cowboom's return policy is great and all, but it's still a hassle, and I just didn't want to take a chance on having to play that game again.

Definitely post your condition impressions once you get yours. Were they 5's or 6's?
