Anybody getting a 3DS XL.....?

Those are 'Amazon Sellers', not sold directly from Amazon. Perhaps I should've clarified but I thought it was obvious. Also all of those sellers sell the items at exorbitant prices.

Personally I don't know what the issue is. It doesn't seem like Amazon or Nintendo have officially commented on the dispute. What I do know is that my DS Lite had a stuck line of pixels and when I returned it I received a DS Lite with a broken hinge and one dead pixel (which I finally decided to keep instead of waiting several more weeks for an RMA). I had a Cosmo Black 3DS and I noticed a line would appear on the screen from friction, but it wasn't a scratch, it was just the kind of line you could rub out with a cloth.

I can see Amazon questioning Nintendo's build quality, but ultimately every other retailer is carrying the 3DS XL. Ideally both would comment on the issue. Amazon is a large retailer especially for gaming. It's unprecedented for them not to carry Nintendo systems. Also it'll be interesting to see if they carry the Wii U.

I have a 3DS launch unit so I'm good for now. As for games to consider getting, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D are a few good ones. I would say definitely get a 3DS XL if you don't have a 3DS yet. The system is fun and there are more games to come soon enough (Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario, and more).

The ones that are "Fulfilled by Amazon" are safe to buy from. If there is anything wrong with the item, you get to ship it back for free (Amazon gives you a free shipping label) and Amazon will handle the return.

Fancy new 3DS for me, and hand down the old one to the kid that's always pestering to let me play it. I like what I've read about older games looking better on the XL.

I was trying to figure out why Amazon wasn't actually selling anything Nintendo-wise. But I reviewed my 3DS purchase last year and it says this:

That seems like it was sold by amazon. The reason I bring this up is that I ordered a 3DSXL and it says its from the same seller:

Sometimes Amazon sells things and then completely removes themselves from the listing so that no more can be purchased from them. If it says that it is sold by Amazon, then it will ship from their warehouses. I think the reason that it's not shipping right away is because they may be backordered a bit.

Not me. I like my 3DS but I think I like it mostly because I never bought a DS. So, I have plenty of those games to play. I haven't been too impressed by any actual 3DS releases. Mario 3D Land has been the best, but it was too easy IMO. Well except for the very last unlockable level that was kinda ridiculous. Ocarina of Time I guess needs some nostalgia cause I never played it before and was not impressed. Kid Icarus has really clunky controls.

At least so far New Super Mario Bros. 2 is fun, but I'm only in world 2.

I haven't even touched Star Fox yet and I've had that since christmas. All in all I like it but not worth upgrading.

i didn't try it but still now i am thinking about it.
