before anyone asks here is the Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart [tomshardware.com]. 6570 (DDR5) is on the same level of HD 2900 XT. this is the DDR3 model.


at this price i might get one to replace my HD 2600 XT while waiting for price drops for 7770/7850. my HD 2600 XT, 7 tiers below this can still run modern games like Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Fallout New Vegas, Bulletstorm, Diablo 3, etc. smoothly without any sort of overclocking, albeit i have to turn everything down to low or lowest. it is super quiet and super cool though (by today's standards).

I have been touting the Radeon 5570 thru the 7770 for quite a while as the best bargain gaming graphics on the market. This is the BEST price I have ever seen, and at $20 AR is probably the best upgrade for almost any lower end OEM computer out there, especially for gaming or HTPC. This is especially nice as it has a low profile bracket. It should work fine for any PSU 300 watts and up, and one Newegg reviewer added it to a 220 watt system (that's pushing it unless you have a 65 watt or less CPU which IS typically the case in those systems.

It's a big improvement over the i3 Sandy Bridge graphics, and a definite improvement for the HD 3000 graphics on the i5/i7 (though I would hope with an i7 you are putting a little more graphic power in it ) . Will also crossfire very nicely with all but the low end of FM1 CPU's, giving you the best budget gaming computer out there. One reviewer commented that it is fairly quiet, and if that is the case this will also handle most if not all of the post-processing video capabilities available for the ATI Catalyst Drivers - they are disabled with the HD 5450 series because those GPU's are too weak. If I am up at three AM I will pick definitely pick one up. TU and repped.

while i'm waiting for this deal to become active, i did a search on 6570s and found out that there is even a Twin Frozr model : R6570 Twin Frozr Mini 1G [msi-computer.co.jp]
it seems to be only available in japan. i found it interesting because the Twin Frozr dual fans seems to be a complete overkill for this card. i did find a reviewer @ amazon japan saying this card is super quiet but still be careful with the temperature if you stick this into a slim case [amazon.co.jp].

yeah same here. i got free shipping with shop runner but still, $10 rebate, $5 discount. total comes out to be $53.61 with tax. not really a good price.

on the existing rebate form MSI offers $30 rebate only for 7770.

No, if you go to the MSI site using the previous posters link. It took me to the look up page, just look up MSI-11390. It is a $30 rebate that starts today. Newegg is notorious for being slow to update their rebate listings. I'm pulling the trigger.
