- Just a heads up. The canopy for this is 10' x 10'. It is the base that measures 12' x 12'.

If anchored well, will these be good for gusty wind conditions? I'm specifically thinking of the beach. Anyone with experience with this model?
I read the one review on Sears that talked about anchoring with sand bags. Anchoring is not a problem, I just don't want the wind to bend members. |

I know it says 37 pounds but is this heavy/awkward to carry around for say camping? What about compared to the 10" one?

Give someone a fish, feed them for the day!

Ace Hardware had 10x10 shelters for $59.99 this past week, but our local store was sold out. This looks like better quality anyway and it's bigger. |

I have the same model. It works great and easy to carry around. Very easy to pack and unpack.
However, it is still light for gusty winds. No anchoring is going to help. |

For picnics if you strap a large cooler to opposite legs it usually keeps the canopy from blowing away or over. I wouldn't recommend bungee cords but rope or straps instead.
