Same here. But I also used a 15% off coupon in store besides having them PM to their $6.99 price on the web. It works fine although it does not have dual band. However, $9.99 is pretty much the regular price for this one as it comes up so often.

It doesn't have 2.4/5G dual band (for cheap adapters that's normal isn't it), but it can run at 300Mbps, that's better than many adapters in the same price range.

It depends on how you define its price range, is it the $10 current sale price, the original MSRP of $72.99, or the current official price of $39.99. It does perform better than many other adapter at $20 or below though. There are dual band adapters available at $40 regular price range.

By the way, you can buy this at the same or similar prices from several vendors at Amazon while Amazon itself sells it for $40. Anyway, one can get this at ~$20 shipped almost everyday.
