Recover Corrupted USB Thumb Drive Files
I have a USB that seems to be corrupted, because it keeps saying that it needs to be formatted whenever I insert it into the computer. Is there any software out there that could help recover the files? I want to access it and copy over what ever that is not corrupted. Thanks |

you could try r-studio http://www.data-recovery-software.net/ free to see what it can recover
most of the branded drives have their own free tools too here is kingston's http://www.kingston.co |

Recurva worked great in the past when I had a corrupted drive, it's free and it is from the same publisher as ccleaner. http://www.piriform.co
Do an advanced scan and hope for the best, good luck. |

only if you know how to use Ubuntu it and for actually corrupt or deleted files r-studio is great I used it to rebuild a reformatted hardware raid 5 array that an employee deleted and rebuilt a new raid 5 array. While I have not tried ubuntu I have used R-studio several times and have always been able to recover files fairly easily, I have also paid for Spinrite (so so results) and HDD regenerator (better results)
