Looking for a bicycle for a 9 yr old girl

Hi,
Looking for a 20 inch or 22 inch bicycle without gears for my 9 yr old daughter.
Can anyone help me? Price varies from $70 to $150 at walmart, target, sportsauthority.

Just an FYI 20" bikes are usually recommended for ages 6-9 years old, so you might want to go bigger, but I don't think I've ever seen a 22", I know they come 24" though.

Thank you somuch for the links and suggestion. I will look into 24". My DD is a little bit taller than average 9 yr old so i guess i will go for 24". Thanks again.

I realize this is not what you are asking for, but we got this one for my 8 year old daughter (also taller than most) for Christmas last year and it is an outstanding bike. We too were looking in your price range and saw that most of it was mediocre heavy steel bikes. So we were eating at Volt one night and noticed a bike shop across the street. After paying the $400 dinner bill for the 2 of us, we went to take a look. We decided that if we can spend that much for dinner for ourselves, we can spring a little and get a decent bike for our daughter. Price for us was $235.

I like this one because it has only rear gears. It also has a very easy to use shifter. We got the boys instead of the girls since the two were almost identical accept for color and being black, we can hand it down to her younger brother when she upgrades.

btw: Just notice you are from MD. If you are near Frederick we got it from a bike shop there. They will repurchase the bike from you among other things if you decide to upgrade in the future.
