Not all other keyboards will ship. I just tried it with another Rosewill model, same thing. The manufacturer likely did not pay or qualify for approval for sale in these states.

Left arrow under right control key and home key layour transposed... half an inch of saved space is totally not worth that. Good deal but I can't buy a keyboard with a wacky layout without feeling like I am telling the manufacturers they are doing it right. It feels like telling a dog he is a good boy after he knocks over the trash to get at leftovers.

Yeah, IL now requires the manufacturer to pay for disposable electronics recycling program "education" in order to sell in that state or something along those lines from what I was reading. Guess they thought it wasn't worth it. btw they had just modified it to include keyboards in 2012..really dumb.

it's cheap. But it's a terrible keyboard.

The pic resembles the apple keyboard, but in truth is it's almost twice as thick as the apple.

Yeah I don't think they try to hide the fact it is thicker if you look on newegg...but I'd say the picture on the OP's first page looks VERY deceiving and makes it look thin. Overall, I think this is a better keyboard than the one I can buy from china for $5-$6...I'd rather take my chances with this.

I will preface my post with this tidbit: I love the apple keyboard feel. I dislike apple, but the keyboards they make just feel good to me. Because of that, I have always been on the lookout for an apple clone keyboard.

It feels nice and has very slim keys. Not needing batteries is great. It can be had for $40 or so on the logitech promotions page. That being said, it is not the apple keyboard clone I was looking for. The keyboard feels hollow. It does not have the same feel as the apple keyboard, but it is close.

This HP keyboard seems like it should cost a lot more. It is very nice. It feels like a fine leather wallet made in Italy, in other words, it feels fancy. This is the closest thing I have found to an apple keyboard clone. On top of the great feel this keyboard provides, the thing is $7 @ newegg ($50 for the wireless version at staples).

Now if you hate apple keyboards, or insist on those terribly huge mechanical clicking keys... ignore my post.

:\ too bad. I have had one for three months now and use it everyday without any problems. Love the feel. Maybe the refurbished ones suck but you could always get a new wireless version.
