They are pricks about the rebate cause they were pricks about the rebate. There's a nice way in letting people know that they should have peeled and not cut. They were definitely being pricks and looking for a reason to reject because i even offered to send in the rest of the packaging. The first two levels of CSR reps there sounded straight out of the ghetto.
And yes jerk-off I made copies of everything re-read my post. They wanted none of it when they found an out.
Dont say I didn't warn you; better be very careful about this rebate cause they do not want to give it to you and will look for any reason not too. By the way, guess its worth mentioning that mine were partially peeled i just didn't cut thru the box all of the way.
The only reason I was able to get my rebate was because I threatened legal action in small claims court to some higher up if I didn't get it.
Sounds like they were being pricks because they were dealing with one.
Ive submitted 6 of these rebates in past 1.5 years (for myself and friends) and NEVER had an issue. Always received rebate in less than 5 weeks after submission.
Clearly you state that you PEELED off the UPC instead of cutting it out like you are suppose to.
You are just misinforming this forum. When you make a mistake in submission, of course the rebate company is going to reject it. What do you expect them just to overlook a major flaw in your submission?
READ the rebate terms before you submit and maybe the customer service reps won't have to hear from pricks like you.
Seems like a good deal, but I already have a camera. Think I'll be able to flip this on ebay/craigslist for a decent amount?
Well, break it down
Starting at $800, and assuming prices if you are patient on CL
T3i w/ 18-55 would probably get you $550-600. If you include the SD card, bag, etc, more like $600-650
55-250 would probably get you $150
Printer you'll get $100, maybe $150
So, you are talking a min of breaking even, with the possible profit being $150. You can always get more, but that's assuming you are in a big city with an active CL. On Ebay, you would be lucky to break even with fees. There were better deals last fall for flipping cameras (Amazon doubling rebates accidentally, etc)...these deals are more for someone that wants to keep the camera and get it for $100 cheaper
