As opposed to??? LED? Seems to be a nice price regardless, $100 cheaper than most. Most of the sets saying they are LED are actually LED backlit, not full LED from what I can tell. I don't like it being 3" thick, so far that's the only real issue I see. Plus I really don't care about 3D (I don't think).

I just think LCD is outdated when you have plasma and LED and now OLED.

Darn- I have it in the cart, can't seem to pull the trigger. Was looking at this [amazon.com]instead, actually had it on order and cancelled it as it was taking too long and this looked pretty good. Now I have a choice and that locks me right up. LOL

LED is LCD, but just uses LED as edge or back lighting. OLED though, is full LED...at a VERY expensive price. Absolutely nothing wrong with any of them. They all have their inherent strengths and weaknesses.

Comes out around $25 less than my order from Amazon. Wonder if they'll match this.

I actually picked up a TCL 40" LCD a month ago. Very nice for the price ($320). Seems to get good reviews. But I ended up going for the LG, hate the big bezel, but 3 HDMI inputs was the turning point.

I already got the 40" TCL LCD and was impressed by it. I needed another larger TV with digital output so ordered the 46 LED/LCD TCL I linked to above for $518, nice thin Bezel, only 2.2" deep, good reviews but only two HDMI inputs. So I canceled that and got this LG model. Little chunkier, thicker Bezel, not sure I care about 3D, but 3 HDMI inputs for same price after cashback. Doing buyers regret right now as the TCL would definitely look nicer on the wall, is LED backlit (not sure if full or edge) and I could use component for the cable TV. I also have Apple TV and an HTPC which I need to connect via HDMI.

60 Hz refresh rate? One of the earliest models?
