Anyway, I'd like to give some updates. I've decrapified and Ccleaned this computer and it's running quite swimmingly. Takes just under 23 seconds to get to the login screen, which is pretty damn good for my uses. Also runs very quietly and seems to be sturdier than I initially thought. Upcoming, going to test out Torchlight, Half-Life and some other low-intensity games to see how it does. |

I just installed 4gb more memory, eactly like the already installed. Purchased on Ebay for $18.00. Windows experience went from 4.5 to 5.0

couple questions. Are there any health hazards I should worry about if I type with this laptop on my lap. Like my balls getting irradiated, growing eyeballs and jumpng out of my sack?
Other thing. If the power brick is plugged into a live outlett but the laptop isn't plugged into it, does that brick still us up electricity? Always wondered about that. Thanks! |

Help! I just bought this laptop - but the wireless networking runs brutally slow even if I watch a simple youtube video or espn video...keeps lagging and stuttering. If I switch to network cable, it's fine. If I use my old 5 year old compaq laptop - with worse specs, it runs those videos fine.
Is there are wireless network adapter setting I need to change? Damn! I copied all my files over first without testing it out. Is this a hardware issue or a sofware config issue?
