I bought this the last time it was on sale for $35, with the free bit set. I must say it didn't have anywhere near the power I expected and couldn't perform the most mundane of hammering tasks, so I returned it.
Nothing will do as well as trying it out firsthand, so try it for yourself. Make sure to fully charge it; at least that way you'll be able to get the job started and use a real hammer. Good luck! |

"If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs.” --- Theodore Roosevelt

Dewalt makes awesome tools. I'm personally a Milwaukee man. SD had a deal on here for their cordless 18V lithium four tool set + bonus tool about three years ago and they are still going strong (5 year warranty). The impact driver is indispensable. Since that deal, I've bought at least six more of their tools, both cordless and corded. Color me impressed. As with most things, I'm sure you are shaped by your experiences. I hope this helps in your decision. Like I mentioned previously, buy it and beat the crap out of it for 90 days. If it doesn't hold up, take it back for a refund.
