Is the free PS3 offer still active? I'm a student and just ordered an S series on Monday, and the salesperson told me that that offer expired a couple weeks ago.

I think they only offer it on certain variations of each computer. At least that's what it looks like. I.e you need to get a T with the i7 and the 500GB drive, etc rather than the i5 and 320 which is what I want.

Going to have to look into this some more. This maybe a better voice for me than the staples deal for 400. A little more $$ but 13", better looking computer, ssd and hd. Just need to see if the memory is upgradable.

The cheapest T series under the PS3 link is $999, so you cant buy the $769.99 T series and expect to get a PS3 AND the $100 gift card.

edit: meh none of these codes work for the $700 laptops

Seems like the PS3 deal isn't working with the $799 model. Hell, I can't even find where to put the coupon codes.

Also, Discover has 5% cash back through shopdiscover as well...not much, but at least is something

I'm not that interested in the PS3 and Vita stuff, so I'm must looking at the 3, 5, 10% off ones.

The 10% are mostly S Series... I think I will go with the T Series wihich are 5% instead.

Also a good idea, instead of buying the 500 GB harddrive for the T-series, customize it instead from the 320 to 500 for $20. If you buy it straight without customize its at 30, so you save $10...

According to my calcs, if you get the Sony T i5 Professional 500 GB (comes with freshstart), with everything... the 5%, Discover cashback 5% and the $150 rebate, it should come out to be from $839.99 original to $608.00 in total with tax (mine was 70 something)
