It's a decent deal. This drill kit with two batteries (Model # DC970K-2) goes for $119 at Home Depot and the bit set costs $17. So $136 total. Of course, if you have one of the $20 off $75 HD coupons that were available a few days ago, then it's actually cheaper at HD.

I have this drill and it's much more powerful than other 18v cordless drills I have used. It has great reviews pretty much anywhere you look.
These are NiCad batteries but they are good quality - two of them fully charged usually lasts most of the day. For deck work you will want to keep one charging while using the other - they charge in an hour so you shouldn't run out of juice.

It's a decent price with the bits. For this amount I would personally look for something Li-Ion, though Dewalt NiCDs have always had good life and are tough. Just keep in mind these are the plain slim pack Dewalt NiCds, not XRP.

If you can wait until the end of summer, it will likely be on sale for $99 for the same drill kit. Bits deals are always going on with a variety of sets to be had.
