You don't need something this powerful to get off lugnuts. It is way overkill for that. Most lugs should not be above 150 ft/lb of torque. A less powerful model would work just as well and last a lot longer since it requires less power. Just a good FYI if anyone is looking to buy this just for removing lugs.

I ordered on from them June 2, 2012, have not received any w7150, kept calling this place www.@$$$$steal.com I don't want to name (not yet at least), the person I speak with said Ingersoll-Rand is BACKLOGGED, they dont have enough w715's to ship out...so why hold my $400!! or over two months now!

tried clicking on their CONTACT US page, which then asks for my zip code. the place I call doesn't even have a working phone number!

So:
1) Paid ~$400 since June
2) No tool to use...defeats the purpose of me purchasing a tool??

4) No refund??? I'm still debating to request my money back and just go buy a Snap-On for around the same price...

I will give them till mid September the latest and provide follow up with this ordeal.

i have no idea why you're complaining about your order with another vendor that is not even related to this thread. If the place you ordered from can't fulfill the order, cancel it and request a refund. if they don't refund you, contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. I ordered from the vendor in this thread and got mine in 4 days, but they are now out of stock.

As for IR... what's your issue with zip code? some times they ask that so they can direct you to a regional support center... what's the big deal? Plus, I'm not sure what you're talking about anyway... i called their toll free number and left a message and got a call back later the same day. That's not bad in my opinion...

I don't know how it fared for everyone else, but these guys wound up being not so legit for me.

I ordered the 2-battery kit from the airtoolsforless link in the first post on 8-30-12, and in spite of just a 2-week back order listed on their website, I never got it.

When I called them after two weeks to check on the status, the guy said they were due in a day or two and that I was #6 on the list to ship to, and they would ship it the day they got them in.
Needless to say that never happened, so I called just now to cancel and the guy stayed right in the same mode as last week, assuring me that no one else has them either.
Meanwhile, I found several vendors with them in stock in the past few days. Not so scarce for anyone else it seems.

Which is all shame really, as I have some car projects that were waiting on an impact, but because of shaky sales practices, i'm out of luck.

Anyone know of another good deal on a cordless impact?

Ok, for anyone who happens upon this thread in the next 2 days, I've got reliable word from Ingersoll-Rand that they will still process any purchases that are made through the end of this month for the free battery offer. That's just two days from now, so you have to be quick if you want in on this deal.
So anyone reading this, you're good to go provided you get your forms mailed in by the end of October.

And trust me when I tell you, there are plenty of places that have them in stock. I got one delivered to my doorstep in 2 days from www.thetoolwarehouse.net. And there are plenty of other dealers who have them too. So don't listen to any bs story from airtoolsforless.com or any other retailer who tries to convince you no one else has them.

Well 4 x 5-lug wheels per car x 4 cars is 80 lug nuts.
So it's not like that's a minor amount of work.
Not only that, but we're talking free battery deal here.
So you've got a battery charging while you use the tool.
There will be plenty of shop mechanics who use these.
