I was actually just looking at Wifi adapters since my new PC doesn't have one. How does it compare to this TP-Link [amazon.com] or this Rosewill [amazon.com]?

How does this etekcity compares with ALFA? Also, i am thinking of using this dual antenna adapter and replace antennas with a yagi antenna on one side and a 9db omni antenna on the other channel. Has anyone tried this before?

how do you crack the wep if you don't have the 9+ digits for your neighbor's wifi?

I've been searching a while for an adapter to use with my raspberry pi. I've found some on Newegg for $10 with good reviews. Is the gain really that great?

Surprisingly, there are many "open" routers out there, or default only ids and passwords. People are just too lax on this security, even though they may be diligent about locking their doors at home.

I read that WPA2 is the only, so far, "unbroken" protocol. Anyone know how long it takes to break one of the other "weaker" WPA flavors?

Seems to me, those others should be fine for most people unless one is worried about someone so motivated to be determined enough to spend the effort to break it. I'm no expert, but that is my impression - am I correct?

I ordered it anyways. I had a GC so the $20 was fine by me, especially if I can connect to networks farther away.

Can anyone tell if this includes the suction cup mount? There's a mount in one of the pictures, but listing doesn't say if it's included. Thanks....
