Hot at $599, less hot at $680 after shipping and tax. Why can't my local costco get something like this in stock?

300W Power Supply, so even if you wanted to add a nice video card to it you would need to fix that as well.

Anyone know if this unit is easy to upgrade the power supply? I bought an Acer for my parents awhile back and found that it was quite challenging to fit any aftermarket power supply. Actual name and model number is "HP Pavilion Elite h8-1360t." 600 Watt power supply is an option if you're buying directly from HP.

The power supply appears to be a standard looking size/shape. Look for good deals on power supplies and upgrade when you can. Looks like a nice deal.

Not saying this machine will have this problem but we recently purchased an i7 HP system for the office and they had disabled virtualization technology with the BIOS. We bought it to run a bunch of VM's and had to ship it back. The CPU supported it and HP chose to remove the feature probably because it's a selling point for their higher end hardware.

you can't enable virtualization at all? i'm sure there's a way to update their bios such that it will let you do it.

For those of you interested.... I just built a PC for my Mom at about the same price ($737... will be $682 after rebates)

I wanted to share with you what I could get for the same amount buying piece by piece. Now, if you don't want to build & choose your parts this may be a good option for you. The i7 from Costco is better than the processor I bought. However, all my other parts are better, and I got an SSD, a Blu-Ray burner, etc.

One worry I have with this Costco PC is that it only has a 300W PSU. I worry that the Onboard graphics will suck, and that someone wouldn't be able to upgrade the video card without getting a new PSU.
