I bought the $99.99 chair and used a $15/$75 OD coupon.

Instead of taking off the coupon, they insisted on price modifying the chair, am I still eligible for any rewards, or will I have to do a return/rebuy. Is there anyway to get them to actually use the coupons instore and stop price modifying?

If you use an original OM coupon, you still get Full rewards. Not sure about competitor coupons.

Coupon won't appear to be used on the receipt though. It looks like the item is $84.99 instead. Price modified.

I do not think it matters. Fixed is fixed. If you purchase the item you get the rewards.

If the stores are equally convenient for you to visit, I'd go with Staples. Not only for the ease of their Staples Easy Rebates, but because of their premiere member status you can get after spending $1000 in a calendar year. After which you can recycle twice as many cartridges. As long as they keep offering plenty of free after rebate software and almost free after rebate supplies, getting to $1000 isn't all that difficult. Spent over $200 in just the last 4 weeks on photo paper there... With judicious use of $5 off coupons, you may even come out ahead, or at least account for most of the taxes.
