I got an email asking to verify my SS and mailing address by sending them documents. I think AMEX pulled info from their database. People who do not have an AMEX card, I think, may get the verification request.

Oh well, I called Serve. I think it is ridiculous when they have to verify my SS number by asking me to send in my SS card. Remember, this is a PRE-PAID card, NOT a credit or debit card. WHY do I need to give them my SS number? They refuse to accept a State-issued ID to verify my identity. Or maybe AMEX thinks they can do a better job in verifying a person's ID than the government.
Moreover, I do have a US bank account to fund my account, which provides further evidence of my identity. It's not like I only have cash. Besides, they can't take cash anyways, can they? P.S. You need to verify SS and mailing address because you don't have an AMEX card. |

Got $25 instant. No Verizon required. I used AMEX Prepaid and it prompted me message about fees charged by credit card for cash transfer.
I checked my AMEX prepaid account and i was charged $1 fees "SERVE VIRTUAL ENT INC - Purchase with AVS" Not bad, still made $24. |

I signed up for serve in a different offer (spend $25 or more on single transaction and get additional $25) a week back. I got a e-mail asking to verify my SSN. I uploaded a document for that on Monday. When i login into serve it still says that my account is reviewed and i will get a response in 24-48 hours.
Do someone have the number to call Serve

I am actually not "surprised" that they see nothing on my credit report (and hence the request) since I don't apply for credits at all, never. I don't think my AMEX's request is random. |
