Don't they still have the free version that the only difference is no voice navigation and 3d maps

Hopefully this feature gets improved, but right now if you need a fully offline solution this isn't it. |

works for me
I have this and really like it - but I use it on an android tablet without data. It's nice that is has all hotels / restaurants etc already downloaded and the maps are updated quite frequently.

I've used this on both an HTC Evo View tablet and an iPad 2. I perferred it over Sygic, personally.

In the event your phone is without a data connection, why not just get Navfree, for free in those situations?

iOS6 comes out in September which will include turn by turn Nav for free! I say hold off.
I guess the people who made copilot know this and offer a deal now. |

Lots of people recommend Waze. If you live in a less populated area Waze is spotty at best.
I have both Waze and Copilot (I even have Navigon) on my Android phone. Of the three, I prefer Copilot. It has a nice interface and one year of free traffic is a nice bonus. |

I had to switch to an Android phone for maps and tethering for now. iPhone 5 may be a different beast, time will tell. |

I use the standard version which is the same except for a few extra features and it's always worked well for me.
