Resolved: chrome displays Malware detected message

In chromei am trying to Navigate to Popular deals. I get a message from Google

Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
slickdeals.net contains content from www.zappreviews.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else.
We have already notified www.zappreviews.com that we found malware on the site. For more about the problems found on www.zappreviews.com, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.

please let me know what to do to proceed ahead

My Home Page (new browser window) is set to Slickdeals.net) so this is not an issue of clicking something. It was merely the act of opening a new window, generating a URL call for slickdeals.net.

This happened when I clicked the popular deals from the home page

This is happening to me as well, when I type slickdeals.net into my URL box in Chrome.

Im using chrome and have yet to have this happen. It could be the adblocker blocking the ad that is causing it though.

This just popped up for me too, on my Mac.... So I switched to my iPad to browse...

I received the same warning while using Chrome on OSX. Evidently there is something nasty going on @ that domain.

I submitted an abuse notification through the forum's "contact us." Hopefully someone will read it or see this thread.

You don't have to do both, we already saw this thread and have been trying to eliminate the ad, but it's from one of the ad networks, not directly through us, so it's been resisting our efforts to squash it

on my desktop i got a big fat red screen that warned me that slickdeals contains material from zappreviews which is known to contain malware. that has never come up b4. signed in on my nephew's old junky laptop.

So far it appears that someone is using an ad banner to stuff cookies into our visitor's browsers. It's really hard to track down because the banner may not necessarily say "zappreviews", but simply has an image from there.

If you ever come across this again, please take a screenshot for us, ideally showing us all the banners displayed so we can try to track it down.

It's happening again. Today, I cannot get into slickdeals.net using chrome because chrome says "malware detected". Anyone else get this today?


Edit: Seems to be fixed now.

Just got the malware notification on Chrome a minute ago. Showed cmi.netseer.com as the issue.
