oooo An I bought this button. Which deal is everyone thumbing up for? I got a 2tb hard drive from seagate usb 3.0 for around 90 at staples a couple months ago and I'm currently looking for another deal because I'm out of space.

Will be in the Philippines for 8 months, will want a robust backup system for all my photos. After having lost a good portion of my photos due to a hd failure, I now back up my photos like crazy everywhere.

Interested myself in what's in the Silicon Power and Buffalo...I refuse to buy Seagate (look at 'em funny and they'll die with the click-of-death) or WD drives (WD ticked me off EOLing the WDTV units long before they bother to fix the many many bugs they have). Annoyed that Hitachi and Samsung were both bought by those companies, but their drives are still head-and-shoulders above the parent companies...

Was going to buy a Buffalo, but $17 shipping to an APO address kills it for me.

Word to the wise samsung does not make hard drives anymore, I dont get how neweggs still sells them as samsung. Thier made and serviced by Seagate now I dunno if you'll still get the 3 years warrenty samsung offerd since all thier other drives seagate cut to 1 year warrenty...

One reviewer states that the drive inside the case was a Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001. This happens to be the cheapest internal 3TB drive sold by Newegg, and it sells for $20 more! I wish I could just buy the internal drive for that price and not waste the materials used to build the case. (There is no guarantee all of these will come with the same internal drive, but it's usually a good bet.)
