I've been getting PM's since I posted THIS DEAL a few weeks ago about recommending a good deal on a budget tablet that had a better / nicer screen.
People did not like the 800x480 resolution of the other one, so I've been looking for deal with the same features or better and a screen that was at least 1024x resolution.

I found this deal and it's solid because of the price, the screen, the ability to charge via USB, the included screen protector, and the expedited shipping for free....among other things.

Cube U18GT Elite - $89.99 Shipped Free
Deal is now $94.99, but the custom Cube leather case and Free DHL shipping are included until sold out.
Here's the LINK [in4dealz.com] for the deal page.

Cube is an actual, "branded" tablet, not a generic Chinese knock-off.
They make a quality product and are very, very well known in the Android geek world. Stick Out Tongue
This should be considerably better quality than your standard no-name budget device.

Highlights:
  • 7 inch, Five-point, Capacitive, Touch screen, Ultra-crisp, 1024*600 Resolution
  • RK2918 CPU, Cortex A8 processor, clocked at up to 1.2 GHz. Vivante GC800 GPU
  • 1GB DDR3 RAM, 8GB NAND Flash Storage
  • Android 4.0 OS, Ice Cream Sandwich, Built-in Google Play Store (Android Market), can download hundreds of thousands of free and paid apps
  • 1080P decoding, supports 3D accelerated graphics
  • Supports WIFI and External 3G
  • Front-facing camera, Built-in HDMI capability with port
  • Can charge via USB Cable
  • Support Skype Video Chat

*Sidenote*
I would have posted it for McBub, (Big GrinBig Grin) just to give the haters something to scream about, but McBub is more than 20% higher than this site because of a clearance price.

If my experience is any guide, you'll have it today (with the DHL guy apologizing for it taking so long!).
11:22AM check-in outside of Cleveland but it's being delivered to PA, so it's great if it arrives today but I'll expect it tomorrow. I'll have a review up after I get a chance to mess with it.

Front page description lists GooglePlay and then right behind it (Android Market) -

There's a world of difference between the two. Google play has NBCLive Extra - just to pick something topical; Android Market doesn't. If this isn't licensed to download from Google Play, that adds a hefty degree of difficulty to this tab.

Pardon me. As an owner of a ChinaPad who discovered that most of them do not allow downloads from Google Play - I confused that with the Amazon Android App Store - which DOES allow China Pads, but lacks much of Google Play's content.

So this allows downloads from the Google Play store? (My China Pad allows me to connect, shop, and download, but gee whiz - since its not licensed, they do NOT install.)

If you're on top enough to know about this, you also know of the problem. Was just trying to confirm that this tablet indeed worked with google play.

I just got my tablet today. Overall it is pretty good. I just cannot get netflix to play. It opens and I can see my movie selections, but when I click on them to play I get no response. Anybody have this issue?

the original Android Market, run by Google, was replaced by Google Play. he's correct.
what you're referring to is Amazon's App Store, which is totally different... it's Amazon's own "Market Place" for Android devices, there are a few others as well. it's just a distribution system.

i don't own this particular model, but normally you can side load the (old Android Market or) Google Play store easily enough and get into it if there's an issue. somebody that ordered will have to help you out with the specifics.

For those that already ordered one, did you select DHL or did you leave it as airmail? Selecting it seems to add shipping charge.
