Absolutely correct, and I very purposefully passed on this set when it was $19.99, so I will pass on it "even harder" (if such a thing is possible) at $25.99.

I love the cartoons, but I can't justify $19.99 or $25.99 for better picture quality on cartoons I already own on DVD (well, a few of these weren't on the DVD Looney Tunes Golden Collection sets) and that I watch about once every 5 years (too many other good things to watch). Thanks for the effort to the person who posted the contents in the Wiki.

I think blu ray is WAY too much overkill for this deal. No advantages whatsoever. Get the DVD. I don't think I want to look at 1930's era material in blu ray thinking WOW I'm glad it is not a DVD.

You do known about this thing called,,,film. This was all on film, which has more resolution and color saturation than HD. If it was remastered and sampled at a full res, it can be magnificent. I don't know the technicalities on this, I hope it was lovingly restored.

Mac - stick to the topic. Please don't imply Tom and Jerry is a racist cartoon. Yes, there were a few cartoons that were questionable. Bugs had a cartoon with a certain tribesman too. let's not bash. I enjoyed both cartoon series. BTW - I'm not white.
