SPG points transfer to BA or Emirates
Hello all,
Apologies if this is not the right section, but had a question.
Wanted to transfer my spg to BA to fly a trip (business class,) from EWR to HYD (flexible travel dates anytime in Oct/Nov/Dec/Jan,) but when I view the website @BA Avios, I'm getting charged close to $1,500 in taxes and fuel surcharges on top of the rewards + additional fees (making it close to $2.6 odd.)
Wondering if I'm doing this correctly or if I'm missing out on something here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Would it be better if I went through Emirates? I think I read somewhere that to use Emirates rewards, one should have flown earlier. BA I do not think has these rules.
My account balance with both airlines is 0 ATM.
