got this printer for $55 slick deal last christmas from staples, works great. cheap ink, and when you factor in the staples rewards for ink recycling, its a money maker. I usually order cartridges in bulk from amazon that costs dollar a cartridge, and get back two bucks for recycling at staples.

I have mine wire connected to my desk top and wireless with the lap tops. Plug in the cable under the top and run it out the back.

you are right, i now remember there is a usb slot under the hood.

I got this printer 16 days ago from OM for 59.99. lHow fortunate that this falls right outside the 14-day price guarantee window. But, I desperately needed this printer and I would gladly spend the 60 on it again. I have been using the hell outa this printer for 2 weeks and I love it. I have a $300 HP photosmart I was ready to smash office space-style because it never worked right. This printer just works! It is SO easy to use. I had it connected to my network in a matter of minutes. And scanning is very fast, you can do it right from the printer. I haven't used it yet, but the iOS air print is a cool thing to have too. Couldn't recommend this printer enough.

Is there any way to get the $5 off $25 from the weekly ad if I'm getting this shipped? Looks like there's no store availability near me, and I don't see a ship-to-store option.

remember there is a j430 and a j435 version (any difference between the 2?). I got 2 for customer installs at staples last week, may end up getting some more this week with PM. Already bought ink first @ ebay and then amazon when I saw the 14 pack

I just returned a Brother MFC J825DW to staples yesterday because I could not keep it on my network. The first thing I did was set a static ip in my router. Then it seems like whenever it goes to sleep I cant print wirelessly. I set this up using a Mac, so I decided to set it up hardwired to my windows desktop. That didnt work either. You can only use wired or wireless, not both. So I reset the printer, reinstalled on my mac and it still did the same thing. I even assigned a static ip through the printer itself. I have wasted so many hours on this printer. It's a shame because I already purchased more ink from Amazon. Oh, I updated the firmware and everything. I really wanted this printer to work. Is there any network setting I could be missing? If it makes any difference I have verizon fios. I wonder if the software is the same for this printer and the J825DW?

I tried calling to see if it could be applied because the closest office max to me is almost an hour away. I was told by two different reps that their system uses different codes for B&M and online/phone orders so if the coupon doesn't have an online code there is no way they can discount it. Also they are unable to offer you any complimentary discounts unless something was messed up on your order.

Good timing. My brother laser printer was acting up. My repair attempt screwed up the drum. For $50 I can get a brand new printer which is less than the drum for my other printer. $50 out of pocket. But gives me qualified spend to release my ink cartridge rewards, and based on OPs link I can buy ink and recycle it for more than I outlay in cash. Between this and all the paper deals I can basically print for free. (any deals on free electricity to run the printer, haha).

can someone confirm that the Amazon ink is compatible?

I've had a lot of problems in the past with inkjet printers getting clogged printheads. I only print a page or two once every few weeks, which seems to cause problems with inkjets in general. I was leaning towards purchasing a cheap monochrome laser printer, but I definitely like having the option of printing in color and having the scanner attached as well. Has anyone had any problems with this printer getting clogged?
