This is why killing the used game market is just plain stupid

To say "It's just business" though is very close minded / just an attempt to be progressive. Yes, on one hand people should be in charge of themselves, and much of my dis-trust of the situation falls on the people that have the facts and still turn in games for $0.25. However...when a company hides that they are stealing games from you...that is not just a business...it is dishonest. When you take in 4 new games and they say "I'll give you $40, $10 a game"...but won't break it down game by game for you, that is dishonest.

They can say they don't post prices online because they change constantly but that is a farce...they don't post them online because they want to screw people over with half truths.

Should we just make it legal for an auto repair guy to just fix things and not return the broken parts to you, since you really should have known how much they cost, how long it should have taken to wrench and if that was actually causing the problems?

Cash beats "good as cash" no matter what. There is a reason you say "Good as Cash" and not "Good as a credit on Amazon", because you are ALWAYS better off with $5 cash than $5 credit. To say Glyde giving you cash is just as good as Best Buy having an option to launder into Amazon credit is just silly.

They were calculating "Zero" as the value on some books but they won't let you know which one...that is dishonest, but that is also why they didn't get my business.

considering i worked for EB Games back in 2004-2007 (during college) and we always listed out what each trade-in value for each game was, i'd have to ask you, when did you see this "never showing trade in value price" before?

We had like 10 $80-$120 text books and they offered $4, that wouldn't have been worth it, but I thought the same thing too when they told me their policy.



Yea...it was in HS, there was a dude that took a catalog into the backroom and they came back with a total value. Only thing more recent would have been a friend's story of "I'd never have sold them a game if I knew I was only getting a quarter for it" [Marvel Ultimate Alliance]

Yeah, I've always gotten a per-game breakdown at GS.

You know what we need...a store that you can take stuff into and they will sell it for you on eBay!
