Every death has actually been -- oddly enough -- rewarding. My friends and I would discuss about what we should change in order to improve our chance of survival. i.e. stay a good distance from each other as we run through areas, so that one person won't be able to just storm us both from behind with bullets. This happened before -- in the forest too, where you'd think no one is around! Finding the items you lost again isn't tough. The process of looking for such items is what brings a lot of the excitement and tension. You can play it differently from how I play it. Instead of shooting others on sight, you can be what they call a "friendly" and form teams with them. |

In the beginning, we had a tough time handling the zombies. They would cause a lot of problems for us. Not, they're not much of a problem as long as you don't attract a whole horde to rush at you. Surviving past 20 minutes should be easy unless you intentionally let a zombie eat you. After a week or two of playing, we have been able to stay alive for about 10+ hours or so. Even if you do die, it's not hard to get recover what you had in items. |

Just so I am clear, this is a free mod for ARMA 2? I might wait until the standalone release to pick this up. |

My friend told me about how he went up to some camp just looking for some help because they had mad shit, like a chopper and car. He got close enough to talk and then they shot him. He got pissed, so he spent about 45 mins trying to find their camp again. There were 3 guys on look out. He snuck around, got into the chopper, said "fvck you" and proceeded to crash the chopper. I lol'd when he told me. They got what they deserved.

Kind of sounds like the "no rules" EverQuest PvP server, until one guy griefed people so hard they put a rule in place to stop him (causing him to celebrate that he broke the server). Fansy the Famous Bard [notacult.com], if you want to read about it. |

Yeah, the mod is free. The Arma 2: Combined Operations game is $30. If you have other games to play atm, then I guess waiting for the standalone is a good idea. If you and your friends are looking for something like this to play, then I believe it's worth it. Last edited by MrWD; 08-16-2012 at 04:13 PM.. |

I'm not killing just for the sake of killing or griefing. I'm killing for the sake of preventative measures; before they kill my friends and I. However, if another party gain my trust that they are in fact friendly, then I wouldn't harm them. The main issue is trust. Griefing would be killing someone and then camping at the possible spawn points to just kill them again repeatedly. Last edited by MrWD; 08-16-2012 at 04:11 PM.. |
