You'd think he would remember the backlash from the Gilbert Gottfried/Japan earthquake joke before letting history repeat itself. Guess not.

Got it! Had to read the synopsis to remind myself of the episode but yeah I see the irony more now.

The guy should be allowed to say what he wants to say. People have a choice to be offended or not. Our word for "offended" comes from the Greek word "skandalon" which means "a snare or trap". When you get offended with or at someone or something, you're stepping in to a trap which takes your focus off of what is important. We need to quit expecting everyone to agree with us on everything and feel that it's our job to change them when they don't. Doing the right thing and setting the right example is much more effective than arguing with someone on a top they have no intention of budging on.
