Not very good reviews on Newegg. They also state that it is 2x1GB instead of one 2GB.

Hard call... this is a great card - nearly legendary. If you look at the benchmarks it's basically a 580. One of the only Nvidia cards with triple-monitor display. Fits in a computer that only has one PCI-E port.

Downsides:
- alot of power. Plan a beefy/expensive powersupply.
- No Quad-SLI. WYSIWYG. You'll have to replace it rather than add a second if you ever upgrade.
- Heat. This card does heat up quite a bit. It does have good fans, but it won't be enough to clear your case. So you'll need a good case/case cooling.

If you can, I'd suggest getting by with a GTX560Ti, maybe two. Until you can get into the 600 series. The 600s are so much better than anything else that Nvidia offers, they really are worth a look. I'd hold out for the GTX660Tis coming later this/next month. They're going to start at between $200-$250 (rumor) and will pack quite a punch.

The software bundle is digital download. I got this same card last month from Newegg.

I just read several reviews, and evidently this does not scale as well at 2560 x 1600 compared to the GTX 580. However, at 1080p or less it does quite nicely, and costs a fair bit less. It is a power hog (as is my E8400/GTX 460 SLI rig) so I probably would not put this on my web-surfing rig, which is a measly socket 939 Sempron 3000 and Radeon HD 5450. At $170 this is about the same price as my two SLI cards cost, and looking around it may be one of the better single slot values. Since we are talking almost two years intermittantly at this price point, I agree with the poster commenting about seeing if you can get one of the better price point cards as prices drop, BF comes up in under four months, etc. Of course prices are always dropping/new and better products are always coming up, and it is worth a look if you only have a single slot solution and are still on a tight budget. It all depends on your circumstances - games played and resolution, current versus future budget, single versus SLI, will you need to upgrade your PSU, etc.

You might need an SLI compliant motherboard, which defeats the purpose as you could then SLI two GTX 460s.

Would this be adequate to run the card or would I need to upgrade?

Got this card a month ago on newegg for $235-$50MIR and -$50 selling photoshop=$135 shipped and tax, which is super slick deal, these cards are amazing and from extensive use it blows my SOC 560ti out of the water, which was also ironically $135. This is a great card...BUT the vRam is a limitation even at 1080p. I only really noticed it playing battlefield, with everything Ultra it would tank fps due to lack of vRam which sucks, IMO who really cares since BF3 looks great on a mix between high/ultra and I can't tell the difference, but perhaps in the future with games getting more demanding the vRam limitation might start to be more bothersome. It's a great card and is sort of loud, For sure not as quite as my 460 hawk, but not as loud as my 560ti was, a good in between i guess. I actually find myself not using SLI at all. The 460 is a beast card by itself and I usually disable SLI and use one, but when i need the horsepower I can enable SLI. For me it was a no brainer 2x 460 for $135 amazing... <3 slickdeals
