Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 Full Version - $99 AC

I have lightroom... but I really don't like it. I don't know why... but Picasa seems so much more friendly than Lightroom.

I have both LR and Picasa. I think LR has a much steeper learning curve, because it does so much more. there are nice thingsa bout Picasa (scrolling throughall images works well, love face tagging). But overall with a RAW workflow you get better results from LR.

Only for those that aren't eligible for the student/teacher edition. Got that for ~$65 a couple of months ago. Otherwise, yes, it's an excellent price.

I've used LR versions 1, 2, and 3 and love it, but am in no rush to upgrade to 4 with those performance issues I keep hearing about.

I agree. Adobe charges way too much for a mediocre product.
Free is better; Picasa rules and so does Paint.Net.

I love Lightroom because I can put it on my own site. Can't do that with Picassa.

Glad I read this thread before upgrading. I'm not thrilled with the performance of LR3. I can live with it as is but I don't want to live with slower.

Does anybody know if upgrades = full product in the company's eyes... i.e. if you upgrade a product, can you upgrade it again as if you bought the product straight out?

Anybody with LR3 can move to 4 for $79... even though they may not want to of course. The main reason I'm considering LR4 is for video clip management. I don't enjoy editing, but getting the organization tight would go a long way to speeding it up... that way you only bring in the clips you'll use vs. creating a big-ass batch file in the editing program itself.

FTR LR3 is pretty snappy on my machine... gigabyte board, 2600k, 16gb gskill ram, and gtx 460 evga video.
