I was literally JUST thinking about this. Wondering if I need 6 more for daycare diapers. And trying to figure out if I should get all aplix or some snaps. (I have 3 for nights but use flips daytime)

snaps all the way! My 14 month old has already figured out how to undo the velcro under her onesies. the snaps are great!

I'm going on my 3rd kid with Aplix. I love my BG OS. This is a great deal!

We're expecting our first and the wife is convinced cloth diapers are the way to go. We're looking at scooping up a few brands between now and next year, with bumGenius being at the top. And she's sold on snaps as well

My wife has made me buy at least half a dozen different types of cloth between out two kids that are in diapers with terrible results. Four months ago a friend of ours recommended these to her and we were able to get this deal plus they made it even better by giving an extra diaper with it to make it 7 for this price. We will never go back to any other type of cloth diaper after buying these.

I'm a fan of cloth diapers, but isn't the the regularly reoccurring sale price?

Although that 5 for $67 price with code sid7 posted, would be a great deal.

Of course even at full price cloth diapers are way cheaper than wasting money on disposables.

Every SDer with kids should be using cloth!

Which diapers did you try. We have fuzzybunz and G-Diapers and they both work great.

For those of you who are new to cloth diapering or considering it for a baby to come, here is my advice after cloth diapering my now potty trained almost 3 year old and my 7 month old. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket. Start out with just a few of a bunch of different types/brands to see what works for you as there are many different styles, cuts, fabrics, etc. I started by doing all bumGenius (the 3.0's at the time) because they looked to be the easiest, but had lots of leaks, especially with my super mega wetter. I also had issues with the microfiber inserts hanging on to odors, and the aplix went bad on quite a few diapers in a relatively short amount of time. I then bought one of a bunch of different brands/types of diapers until I found one that worked well for us. I ended up settling on Itti Bitti Tuttos for day care and their ease of use, and much to my surprise, fell in love with flats with Flip covers for home and overnight use (I used the origami fold when they were little, and trifold when the origami doesn't fit as well anymore). I also discovered that I like snaps MUCH better than aplix. Even with the laundry tabs I always ended up with a chain of diapers in the washer and a lot of pilling from the aplix. I found the natural fibers (bamboo, hemp) to be much more absorbent and better able to hold on to the wetness than microfiber (which is what is in BG) which helped in lowering the compression leaks and they made for less bulk. I'm not knocking BumGenius, and I do love their Flip covers, just be aware that they don't work for everyone and if they don't work for you then don't give up as there is more than likely an option out there that WILL work for you. PM me if you are interested in any of my other cloth diaper experiments, as washing can be a science on it's own!

If you add the B5G1 deal and then the free diaper + code from Optophobias link, it ends up just over 12 dollars a diaper. Not too shabby.

I agree with wozzukes about not buying a crap load of the same thing expecting to love it or that it will work perfectly for you. At this price though, you'd have no problem at least getting your money back if you decided to resell them in the case that you didn't like em.

Snaps should last a lot longer but they're not as convenient...takes longer to put the diaper on the baby. But ultimately they're the way to go...velcro wears out too fast.
