Old as dirt, no HDMI, power hungry, and no DX 11 support...

 I'm kind of relieved though, since it was an awesome price and I would have bought it. I once used a 4870x2 which overheated and sounded like a leaf blower.

I bought 3 visiontek 4870x2 cards and ALL of them overheated within 1 week and started artifacting extremely powerful if you can cool it though, even by today's standards |

I have the 1gb sapphire model of this card, never had any problems running things on high settings.
Planning to grab a 7950 whenever a decent deal comes along on one for the dx11 and power savings at idle. The card has worked great the entire time I have had it. |

Old school. So 2010 lol. Anyone remember that $20 xfx 4850 deal. Now that was sick. No matter how old it was

got a XFX 4870 in late 2010 for $100 AR or so...
good card, playing MW3 and BF without any issue not taking anyone's rep as granted, but just would like to contribute some now and then. that's the SD spirit imho.

i would consider getting this card if this were fall.. but man, it would fry in this summer heat.

A killer deal. Erase the model number, erase the perceptions about age. You can not get that performance from any card today for $40, period. But it needs at least 1 gig of memory to support the higher resolutions. Youll definitely feel the lacking there. Bot for 1680 x 1050 and lower, you cant lose. Sad that its OOS
Still rocking a 4850 1gb, and runs cool like a cucumber even in these hot humid NY summers
