i totally agree. i LOVE the sound quality on these. AMAZING, deep, bass. excellent for the price. but VMODA's QC is so shoddy. it ends up better just to have an extra pair handy in case you have to do an RMA or if you end up getting shipped a dud.

I really like my V-moda Bass Freq Headphones. Anyone know how these compare?

these are great headphones.

these are great headphones.. but they break. I have (no joke) a drawer of 5 pairs of V-Moda's. Each one last me a couple months.. (I do run many miles w/ them on though...) . It's always the wire at the base that shorts out one side of the earbuds. Same problem w/ every pair.. V-Moda will take them back and replace if bought at a authorized dealer within x amount of time.

but, they sound really good..... very nice base, compares to $75+ sets in comparison to sound quality.

I've been through probably 10+ brands/models. I've had the best luck w/ Sennheiser sports models (although I haven't tried the newest ones). It's never the sweat the breaks it.. It's always the wiring near the jack that goes out. I had a payer of Sennhesier Sports (I forget the exact model, there are only a few made very similar) that last me 6+ months. They also sounds very good compared to other sports models. I hate the over the ear models, will only use earbuds (so my choices are somewhat limited).
