Ironically it's like the page file moves. When I restart it is on the C: drive alone and it's exactly like I never made any adjustments at all

Completely disable the pagefile, restart, then re-enable it on D: and restart again.
If it still moves back to C: try that again and disable system restore before you restart. |

OP: How much ram do you have? I certainly am curious as to why the pagefile keeps resetting itself, almost like the result of a virus, only a virus wouldn't go after pagefile, but the fact that it resets itself is a similar concept. I know you're low on SSD space, but on the other hand, if you are obliged to have some pagefile for lack of ram or because you use ram gobbling programs, the SSD's pagefile would be a lot faster than that of an ordinary spinner. |
