good deal but I seriously hate trying to shop the clearance section on JC Penney's website. 90% of the stuff listed in the clearance section is "sold out" once you click on the link to the product. I don't know why it's so difficult for Penney's to actually be able to update their web page to reflect stock but its disappointing.

i'd get a pair of the xxl's even though they are too big for $10 but i having them come right past my knees are not going to do me a lot of good. looks like they are only 31" long?

Crazy comments on here. I have 3 pairs of these and never shovel snow in them, although it would be ok for that, but would be rather limiting on their usefulness.

What they're good for is giving you another layer of protection and warmth for various things. And yes, you can wear them over jeans as long as you get a size that fits for that. I actually bought mine to wear over other pants on those coldest winter mornings. I wouldn't work on equipment wearing them where they might get greasy or cut up.

They aren't the most durable - the button was ripped out of the fabric (apparently when someone was trying to unbutton them), and the little button cover was missing on one of my pairs, which I then exchanged.

JCP has easy returns, next time just order both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit right away when you pick them up. I do that sometimes when I order off JCP.
