Britax Frontier $199.99 on Amazon

$180 is probably a slicker price (search slickdeals for frontier 85), but this isn't a bad deal at all.

Good price but camel is showing that it was this price last October.

I'm waiting for the Frontier SICT to drop again. It was $223 near the end of June, now at $254.

Of course, just bought this 2 days ago, delivered yesterday. $13 price drop.

Oh, that is so wrong. Mine was delivered TODAY! Great price, $13 cheaper than it was earlier this week when I bought it.

We have the SICT version. We really like the seat. Looks like a decent price too. Just beware that lots of seats (not just this one) are getting larger and are really better suited for larger cars or SUVs. We bought a decent size 4 door sedan and the SICT version made my son's feet cram into the back of the front seat. In our SUV, not a problem at all. So we bought a smaller Diono for the sedan.

This is a great seat. We have two of them, one for my five year old and one for my three year old. They are so easy to install that we use them for our back up seats when the kids go with their grandparents or in my husband's car.

We paid $215 for each of ours so this is a good deal. We also have the Recaro ProSport harnessed booster that we love, which is a bit more but my husband wanted it because I guess they make race car seats.

The "SICT" version has the plastic cushions on each side, no other difference. It's suppose to help absorb and distribute the force away from the car seat. Trade off is that it makes the seat HUGE. Unless you own a Minivan or SUV, the SICT version will eat up the backseat of any car.

Anyway, I wonder if a new Frontier maybe just around the corner? Britax released their new "G3" seats just a month or two ago so I wouldn't be surprised if the Frontier followed. One thing I notice about Amazon is that when they have a big sale on car seat, it's usually to clear inventory for new models.

for what age do you use these? i have a 9 month old that almost outgrew the Chicco Keyfit 35. definitely wont fit there in the winter in a jacket. looking for something bigger.

This is a forward facing seat only. It is not a convertible, which is what you are looking for. You can not rearface with this seat.
