I wonder if these will work in my Alienware Area 51 desktop with i7-930. Currently I have 6GB (triple channel), so it will be good to upgrade. I will need to get two sets (four modules) to run these in triple channel. I just don't know if the speed (1600) will be realized on my older mobo (X58?).

Thx Mr. Blackbird! Even with Cali tax, it's not bad at $43. I've used Sammy DDR in embedded designs & they always outperform their datasheet, esp when it comes to self refresh power.
Next step: Find an i5-3570k so I can finally retire the P4 which has over 8 yrs on the hobbs! |

GO DUKE!

Good price for great ram if you need the GHz for overclocking, otherwise I'll stick with my $17 after rebate set I ordered last night for standard setups or older DDR3 computers (athlon II, first/second gen i-core)
700 Total SSD's handled between two jobs. Plextor M3s, M5s, Crucial M4s, Intel 320s, and Samsung 470/830s are reliable. 2 M4 failure among ~200 of them. Sandforce Sata II controlled drives, 6 RMAs among ~175 units. There, now you know why I post like I do, professional, personal experience.
If you are going to ask "what deal was that?" or" where can I find out about deal so and so?" use the search feature on SD or Google first. |
