In 2005, Papa John's implemented delivery charges in the majority of its company-owned stores to increase profits. Papa John's current delivery charge (late 2010) is $2.50. The delivery fee is not part of the drivers tip. This is stated on pizza boxes and delivery receipts.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_delivery Now, it the "delivery charge" is not a tip paid to the driver, but intend to increase profit - then they should just rise the pizza price and not mislead consumers calling it a "delivery charge"... Good to see Papa John collecting delivery fees and pocketing it all themselves.... |

well you did miss the part where I stated that we should have passed a law that mandated all companies listed on the stock exchange to provide health insurance to their employees... that would even the field.. So regardless if you are Pizza Hut, Domino, or Papa Johns, they all have to pay health insurance to their employees |

Yeah, it's like raising taxes on the middle class in the guise of affordable healthcare. Have they no shame.

Anyone else find it odd, that Obamacare will increase the cost of a pie by 14 cents, but the title claim Papa John's is raising the price by a 25 cents because of Obamacare... I wonder where that 11 cents get factored in...
It reminds me of the insurance companies jacking up rates because of Obamacare, then reporting record profits. So much in profits that they had to cut checks back to the customers.... |

my thoughts:
i doubt this will actually happen. i think it is just posturing (frankly, even if the prices do go up, that's all it still is). papa johns ceo is a huge romney backer. that said, pj's has had record profits as of late. this move shows they care more about posturing and their shareholder's profits than they do about their employees or customers. papa johns already offers full benefits to it's employees. even part-timers. they could actually end up saving money under obamacare if they shop around for new providers. if it does go up, who cares. frankly, $.20 cents or whatever is a pretty small price to pay knowing a lot of people will now have health benefits. i just threw out "a quarter". i heard originally from 11 cents to 20 cents. i said about a quarter because i didn't really feel like specifying. any duplicity or subterfuge by me saying "about a quarter" wasn't intentional. 2. go ahead and present one, don't speak in vagueries. 3. no because those individual sob stories are frankly bs. it's easy to sucker people with them and not broad numbers and stats. 4. these ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg7kgO7lFA4 5. no, it's not the "leftist platform". |

Off topic a little but reading the first sentence of the first review speaks volumes to the qualifications of some of their "valued" employees. NOT TOLD ABOUT THAT CAR INSURANCE WILL COVER YOU IN A WREAK
