I realize this thread is a bit old, but I though I'd still answer the question which many have asked - does it work in urban areas?
YES, it does and very well. I live in Dallas, TX. The FM band is crowded and the frequency I'm using actually has a weak station on it. This unit overpowers that station and there's no disturbance from it whatsoever. I'd have responded earlier, but I don't get alerts unless someone replies to my posts and I'm not in the habit of looking up old threads. |

I got this today after a long wait and boy I am happy with the performance. The plastic is a bit cheap and the buttons are a bit uncomfy but the sound is amazing, I have used FM transmitters before and this one is far superior than others. To get the best performance I used a channel that had at least one up and one down no public transmission, figured this gives me best results, your experience may vary.
The LCD has good indicators like kbps, song name, visualization etc and looks good on the dash, especially at nite. |

I love mine. This is a funny story that I don't think I told before. I had mine plugged into a meritline multi socket in the glove box and forgot about it. I was scanning the radio dials in a new city and came upon this fantastic station. All my favorite music and no commercials! Took me about 4 songs to realize I was listening to my mp3 player! haha.
If these were six bucks I'd buy 3 or 4 more and load them up with music and give them as presents to my friends. For over ten bucks I'm too cheap but I'm glad I have mine. |

You know, I dumped all the music I wanted on there, five or six Jesus Culture [youtube.com] cds, and put them all in the main folder, so I guess I don't really know.
