Looking for a 'Window 7 slate device with pen'

My daughter's college requirement is a laptop and a tablet as in the heading. We already bought the lappy. The tablet is now the issue.

It could be one of the below, or the likes:

Samsung Series 7 Slate [samsung.com] or
ASUS EP121 or B121 Slate [asus.com] at the high end;

OR

Dell Latitude ST [dell.com] or,
Fujitsu Q550 [shopfujitsu.com] or,
HP Slate 2 [hp.com] at the low end.

I have been keeping an eye on these in the SD; but failed to get one so far. Could you please help me to find one of these to somewhere with reasonable price, etc. Please help. TIA.

you are best off waiting until windows 8 comes out, its only a couple of months away, I understand if you need it now, I've been waiting since my income tax check came.
I think alot of manufactures put the reigns on releasing win7 slates in the last 6 months and focused on win8 slates, so come win8 we'll hopefully see 2 things, a bunch of great new slates(making anything you buy now old hat come oct), win7 slates should drop in price?

I think the w500 acer was at around 350 this month, I almost bought one to tide me over,
I would think you could use a capacitive stylus, it won't be as precise as a true pen, but I use one on my ipad and it's not that bad.

I would wait for the windows 8 tablets as well... These 2 Acer tablets look promising (just have to buy the pen).
