Don't know about this one, but if it's like the others - I have the BD630 which works well. Great if you also have an LG TV - mine auto-detects when I turn it on, so it turns on and switches input for me (smartlink?)

Here is a pdf of the manual, looks like it plays most video/audio file types from USB. It could be used as a media player also

I ordered one last time as well. Optical audio is not the way to go and has limited bandwidth equivalent of DVD standard DTS 5.1 quality audio. If you can afford it there are only two ways to get true uncompressed audio. The first would be using HDMI to connect your blu ray player to your receiver. The alternate would be to buy another bluray player that has 7.1 or 5.1 channel individual analog outputs via RCA cables. Your receiver would need to have the correlating input connectors, but this would allow you to use an older receiver while getting the benefits of the higher fidelity sound that is decoded on the player and then passed on to your receiver.

Careful ordering. I got a couple and they were scratched up and dirty. One remote was covered in grime and the unit wouldnt read discs. These arent professionally refurbished
