Yep. I am currently recording 3HD shows while watching an HD show.

For most people it is 4HD, for very few people it is 3HD/1SD.

Also I was pricing the double play offer wrong. It is actually $105/mo or $110/mo depending on if you have ATT wireless or not.

For any of you already on U-Verse and looking to handle retention's easily, their 'Social Media Team' is much easier to work with than calling customer service. I started out with a PM to Alex on their community forum and ended up with an email conversation with their Social Media Team:

I have U300 + 18 Mbps internet. Total home dvr + 1 receiver. My previous 6 month promo's ran out (was $105 a month or something close to that). The guy I was emailing gave me his direct number (I don't have much time to be calling people), so I called him on the way home from work yesterday. Was off the phone in 10 minutes and he added 3 different promos to my account. I am good for another year now:

U300 Uverse TV $87 - $28 1 yr 08/16/2012 - 08/16/2013 = $59
Uverse TV addt'l receiver $7 no promo = $7
Uverse HD fee $10 no promo = $10
Uverse HSIA 18 $53 - $16 1 yr 08/16/2012 - 08/16/2013 = $37
Uverse HSIA equp fee $6 - $6 indefinite = $0.00

Total: $113/month

A good way to go if you have existing service

Just got off the phone with retentions and saved roughy $50 per month and upgraded Internet speeds. Now paying $114 plus fees for U300 and 12 Mbps with 3 boxes. Last month it jumped to $170. This is in the Michigan market. I did lock in for 12 months. Thoughts? Thanks, Allen.

TWG2012 thanks for the deal. Just wondering where the promo code is for the U300 TV Package + High Definition + Up to 4 Receivers (Including Total Home DVR) + 12.0 Max Internet=$124 or $129/month (no AT&T phone). I think I may be blind or missing something because I don't see anything.

It is typically in store, but some people have had success calling as well.

I have heard online gaming is pretty bad with uverse, can anyone provide any input in regards to this? Specifically, I have read the ping is through the roof.

It depends on the internet speed you get. In all honesty, if you have 12+ MBPS internet, there should be no issues at all.

I need to do something I just got a bill for 200 bucks. I guess my signup promo is over. I have no problem downgrading to U300.. Don't even need the u450 package anymore.

You can try the e-mail one of the posters put up and see what they can do, or call customer care, talk to retention, and see if they can lower it at all.
