I read what most were doing on this thread and decided to call since my promo deals was almost expired. I contacted cancellation to determine what they could offer me and received:
1 HD DVR +1 receiver with an extra 1 wireless receiver
Free HBO/Cine for 3 months
1 HD DVR +1 receiver
Once I agreed on the new deal I asked to confirm pricing on each option, but was somehow disconnected. I called again to confirm and was told that there was a $49 fee for sending the wireless receiver but monthly was free. The first rep did not mention the fee so I asked to remove the wireless receiver unless they could waive the fee. They waived it and said to contact them if there were any discrepancies with the bill. Crossing my fingers that it all worked.
Is that 3 receivers total or 2? Do you have a $10 HD fee on top of that?
Wow, I just got off the phone with a "social media manager." I got in touch with him via the email that was posted earlier in this thread. I basically spelled out in the email how great there customer service has been since I have been with them (4 years), and that I wanted to give them the opportunity to see what they could do for me before seeking other options elsewhere since my promos had run out. No questions asked, he waived my HD box fees (2) $7 x 2, gave me a $25 12 month discount and two 6 month discounts that came out to $31. So now my monthly bill for u200 and 12 mbps is only $74 for 6 months and then goes to $105 for the next 6 months. Essentially cutting my bill in half for the first 6 months. Total savings of roughly $650 over the next 12 months!
