Has anyone received the rewards cards yet? I see twg2012 actually deleted the original offer last month where he had mentioned that the cash back is $300 no wireless needed etc. Now the att customer service says i dont qualify for $300 but for $100 .. Which is not what i was told and i have in my emails too .. But they are reluctant..this is exactly what i was afraid of going to att with their ridiculous customer service and bait n switch sales tactics.. Now i have to see how long it takes for them to remove the discounts from my account. I have stayed away from them for 8 yrs and decided to give them a try and they have hardly changed.
So you are only getting $100? Shoot me a PM and I will look into this for you.

I can probably get you a credit of some sort.

FWIW:

Several years ago, I was able to sign up with U-verse when they had a package that contained $400 in gift cards. I forgot the exact time requirements, but I think I was supposed to receive the gift cards after something like 4 or 6 months of service.

Once I was finally eligible for the gift cards, I didn't receive them. What a surprise. Then, I called up Customer Service, and they told me they never heard of such an offer. They sent me to a different department, who also said they don't have records of such an offer. Long story short, I was finally put in touch with someone who would review the screenshots I took of the offer. It then took another 4 or 5 months for the @#%!@ gift cards to trickle in (via postal mail). I eventually received the $400 in gift cards, but this experience definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Personally, things have gotten a bit better since then (at least I have laugh out loud)

The gift card offers can be a bit tricky at times, but as long as you have a rep that stays on top of things and know what they are doing, it tends to be a very smooth process.

I would be a new customer. Still deciding between Uverse or Comcast.

Basically through email, which is better than public offer in my area
U300 + MaxPlus (no phone) + 4 receivers& HD service $105 (I guess plus tax) - same deal posted by OP but in my area generally not available.

Trying to get bumped up to Max Turbo but not sure if it will be included.

$125 in giftcard

Issue also is 1 year contract but lease ends in 11 months. rep is hard to get hold of , does not provide a call back number

Should I be seeking better?

Any existing customer deals? Been rolling with U300, 18 Mbps internet and HBO+ Cinemax, looking to keep the same but maybe up to 24 Mbps internet.

Also have AT&T wireless with FAN discount

Existing deals I can't help with too much sadly Frown

What I have had some people do in the past is cancel their service, then re-sign back up to get the promos again. You might be without service for about a week...but It is an option to guarantee your pricing. nod

are there any cheaper packages/options for tv/internet only? i'm not looking for tons of channels, just the basics. looking to find something other than charter because their rates are killing me.

edit: i looked online, looks like i can get family channels + 3 mbps for 60 a month... wow thats a lot for incredibly slow internet and doesn't even include CNN channel.

TWG2012, is your PM inbox full? Didn't seem like my PM got through. Anyway, I am interested in either the tv+internet or tv+interenet+voice U200 or 300. I am in the bay area, and uverse is available (just check with ATT website). I don't have ATT wireless. PM me about the price and available option/package. BTW, how long would it take for ATT to activate the service?

Thanks anyways.

Maybe retention will do something - not looking for gift cards, just want better pricing since $187 a month is a bit extreme Smilie

Your best bet in all honesty would be to call them and say something like "My friends signed up for X$ a month, I want that price or I'm going to cancel" They will typically drop your bill quite a bit if you take that route.
