I can see the VP debate now. Paul Ryan laying out the case that Obama has done nothing to help the economy and Biden agreeing time after time.

Looks like the GOP are going to ride the Tea Party Express right over the biblicals like yesterday's garbage. Guess the party elite never gave a shit about "conservative values" after all.
It's unclear where anybody ever got the idea that a free market results in low prices when the entire point of capitalism is to maximize profit and low prices are less profitable. Therefore the natural proclivity should be to collude and fix prices at the highest sustainable point.
Oh, it's illegal to collude and fix prices and whatnot as deemed by the gubmint? Who are they to say how a free market should work when it's a matter of divinity per Adam Smith whose book nobody bothered to read? |

From what i was listening too theres a very brief sentence where he mentions that he wants to basically privatize it... meaning dissolve medicaid and medicare as "thats the only solution" and we need to have "people" administer these programs not government (meaning give it to people who will run it for profit). If i read the news correctly this guy wants people to be paid "vouchers" sort of like social security, where you get paid a certain voucher depending on how much you paid in. That isnt health care at all.. thats a rainy day savings account. Obama/biden arent stupid, theyll run ads all day long that say that paul ryan will get rid of medicaid and medicare completely to scare off the old voters. theyd have good reason to do so btw. |

Interesting read on the history of paul ryan, interesting that a guy who loves the free market so much he hasnt really ever held a private sector job. Last edited by Gotchaforce; 08-11-2012 at 12:32 AM.. |

Paul Ryan would likely wipe the floor with Biden (and Obama) in a debate.
Too bad Paul Ryan is a big-government fake conservative. I suppose he and Obama can talk about which country they should invade next, or how much they should increase the budget and debt, or how marijuana shouldn't be legal, or how they both love indefinitely detaining people. Joe Biden says Buy a Shotgun! Wackiness ensues! [youtu.be]
