Romney's Vice President to be unveiled at 9 AM 8/11 in Norfolk, VA

The only element necessary to evaluate Paul Ryan is the first line in his tax plan. This was the claim that it aims to simplify taxes by reducing the number of brackets.

Now, I really can't see how is anything but an appeal to rank simpletons who are not only clueless about how taxes are prepared but also deftly scare of trivial arithmetic they don't understand. On the former point, the limitation on tax prep in the age of computers isn't manual calculation but data input. On the latter, even without computers, the translation of income to tax quantity is a table lookup and doesn't require calculation anyway.

Frankly I didn't bother to read the rest after this minimal consideration of the first point because I don't seem to be the target audience.

Then Romney et al should hit back by pointing out the hypocrisy of Obama and the dems whose Obamacare ACTUALLY CUT 500 BILLION from medicare, compared to Ryan's PROPOSAL to reform it FOR FUTURE BENFICIARIES, not current ones.

And they can add the pointer that at least Ryan HAS a budget plan, as opposed to Obama and the dems who have yet to pass a budget in over THREE years, all while adding 5 trillion to the debt

Well, at least this will leave Rubio untainted by a loss in 2012 that could drag him down.
