Great price, considering T-Mo is $100 for 1000 minutes with no phone, and Page Plus is $80 for 2000 minutes with no phone...

does anyone ever see these deals with Android phones? I don't necessarily want a data plan, but with Android at least you can make wifi calls for free, and call through with a google voice number more easily.

Considering tracfone does not even offer android phones (or iOS phones), I think it's safe to say there are never deals on non-existent phones

The best deal recently (ever?) for an android IMO was the HSN/tmobil Samsung Exhbit II one from a couple weeks back, but that was $120 for the phone alone, plus $30/mo for the 100 min plan + 5gb data. I believe some people on that thread found a way to unlock & use on cheaper monthly setups without a data plan. But again, the phone itself was $120

Tracfones are targeting a certain kind of user, definitely not a data user. Thus, the phones they offer are very feature limited. If you want a basic phone and aren't a heavy user, it's great. I've been very pleased with the service, generally speaking. I think they are a little deceptive in offering these phones that kinda look more like an apple/android experience, of which neither are.

I've had this phone for a few months. It's fun to have a touchscreen, and shooting video and pictures is better on a bigger screen than my 500. There are some fun features and it's easy to learn. The web browsing and texting is sub-par though. It doesn't support videos (at least none that I've found), and many webpages are too large to load.

Another drawback is the small size of the Keyboard; the touchscreen isn't detailed enough to register keystrokes accurately (and my fingers aren't that big), so texting takes me longer. This is my biggest complaint. The instructions recommend using a stylus, but that's equally as annoying IMO. Also, when web browsing there is no option for using the Keyboard, you must use the "Handwriting" input method (drawing individual letters with your finger) or "Keypad" (where you have to hit each number 1 to 4 times to get the letter you want). I don't know if it's an oversight or what, but it's annoying.

If you're looking to save $ and you use a limited number of minutes per month, Tracfone is the way to go and it's a fun touchscreen to play music and videos. With TMFL I get minutes for about $.05 apiece. But don't set your expectations too high with this phone, as some of its quirks will irritate.

They make great back-up phones.. For the price they R hard to beat..

$100 divided by 12 = $8.33 a Month..!! Plus No Contract or Monthly Bills..

I activated my phone online and they gave me 430 days of service + 1400 Mins.. I cannot complain..

Tracfone Users cannot buy 1400 Mins. for $100.. Many Tracfone users upgrade for the Mins alone.. Plus U R Getting a decent Tracfone basically for Free.... The Triple Mins for life is not bad either.. No more worrying about codes for DMFL Phones..

Sorry, I'm new to considering a Tracfone and have a few questions. Once the year is up, do you loose the minutes? Also, how do you add minutes? Online and how much is that typically? Considering for tween daughter and back up phone.Thanks.

I've had Tracfone for about 10 years, but have recently started to switch to Pageplus (cheaper per year, plus I got a better quality phone to use with MUCH better reception for $30 like new). With Tracfone the minutes will roll over as long as you add airtime before the expiration date. You can add airtime a couple ways, including online. For pricing, it would be best to look online yourself, to see what might suit your needs, there are a few options. www.Tracfone.com (might need to put the www in front for that website, it used to not work without it), cards from Walmart store or online, Ebay, etc.
